Tara got hers when she turned one and has been using it in the kitchen with me to cut mushrooms,strawberries,watermelon,kiwi etc. It doesn't cut hard foods like carrots but the fact it doesn't cut fingers off, kind of makes it worthwhile. A learning experience without the trip to emergency!
